How much of your life is the phone taking?
Drag to your daily screen time.
Kids feel it first
- 🌙Shorter, poorer sleep from late-night screens.
- 🧠Weaker attention and impulse control with heavy use.
- 🏃Less play, less outdoors — and more short-sightedness.
- 💬Slower language growth when screens replace conversation.
Pediatric guidance: about one hour a day of screens for ages 2 to 5, and none before 18 months.
It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.
Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
Lost time is never found again. — Benjamin Franklin
Locknest gives the hours back
- 📅Block the apps that eat your time on a schedule — work, study, bedtime.
- ⏱️Quick Block for focus right now; Strict Mode so you can't cave.
- 📈See where the time really goes, and set limits for your kids.
- 🛡️Free, no account needed. Your usage stays on your phone.
💡 Sign-up is optional. Here is the difference:
👤 As a guest
- Block apps on schedules
- Quick Block — timer & Pomodoro
- Strict Mode
- App Lock & a Locknest PIN
- Insights & weekly report
- Nothing to remember, no email
- Occasional short ads, only between actions
✅ With a free account
- Everything a guest gets
- Fewer ads
- Rules & settings follow you to a new phone
- Restore everything after a reinstall
- Family controls for a child’s device
- Children never see ads
Locknest is free, with nothing to buy. Occasional short ads appear only between actions and are limited each day — and a free account sees fewer of them. Never over a screen you are using, and never to children.
You can create an account any time from Home — nothing is lost by starting as a guest.
To block apps, Locknest needs Usage Access — which reads which apps you open and for how long — and permission to draw over other apps, to show the block screen. That usage data stays on your device and is never sold. Two exceptions, both deliberate: an anonymous install ID and app version are sent on launch so we can ship updates and config, and if a parent manages this device the apps used and for how long are shared with them.
